Jon Baas Got Married; Lives in Brillion, WI"

As of this past weekend, I'm married. I tied the knot with my fiancee, Kelli, on July 10th. The private church ceremony was held in Tomah, Wisconsin, and was attended by 140 of our closest friends and relatives. It went well, fun was had by all, and I now go home, husband to a beautiful new wife!

Yesterday, I packed my belongings in a trailer, and with the help of a few members from the church I will be attending, moved north to the small city of Brillion, WI. Kelli has been working here as a kindergarten teacher for the past two years, and is already well established in the community. I've moved into her apartment, and have begun setting up shop in my new office/studio. We won't be going on a honeymoon, but, we will be enjoying the next two weeks as in-home vacation. Kelli doesn't have to teach, and I'll be staying away from any design work. It should prove to be a wonderful break from the rush of wedding plans, the wedding, and my move north.

I'm taking a break. But I'll be back to business as usual in two weeks. Time to be a newlywed!

Jon Cast in Milwaukee Stage Production of "The Trip To Bountiful"

I have been cast as the male lead in the Acacia Theatre production, "The Trip To Bountiful", by Pulitzer prize-winning playwright, Horton Foote. The play is set in 1953 Texas, and I will be playing the role of Ludie Watts.

SYNOPSIS:
"Carrie Watts years to escape her son and his wife's stifling Houston apartment for one last return to her roots in Bountiful, Texas. Running away from her present life to fulfil her dream of returning home again, she finally arrives with results that are both poignant and brilliantly life-affirming. Through laughter and tears, this Pulitzer prize-winning playwright explores the inevitable need to assert independence and reawaken the memories of yesterday."

Performance dates are May 7-16 in the Todd Wehr Auditorium at Concordia University Wisconsin in Mequon, WI.
