Triangulum Galaxy (with unexpected assistance from the Traveler) during
warp field tests. After a
short stay, an attempt to reverse the trip sends the Enterprise one
billion light years from the Milky Way Galaxy in the other direction.
Here, in this distant part of space, thoughts become reality. A third
return attempt successfully returns the Enterprise to its original
coordinates within the Federation, however, the Traveler fades out of
existence. Both extra-galactic destinations are the furthest any
Federation starship has ever traveled. (TNG:
"Where No One Has Gone Before") |
| July 1 | 85-year-old
Starfleet Admiral Mark Jameson foolishly takes both doses of a
Cerebrusian age rejuvenation drug in preparation for an important

March
|
Several Federation and Romulan outposts close to the
Neutral
Zone are destroyed. Both the Federation and the Romulans suspect each
other. However, based upon similarities with other attacked stations,
it is probable that these events marked the first appearance of the
Borg in Federation space during the 24th century. The Romulan Star Empire returns to interstellar
politics
after 53 years of isolation. (TNG: "The
Neutral Zone" -- date assumed) |
| April 29 | Commander

| Nov. 28 | The
Galaxy-class USS Yamato discovers the legendary Iconian homeworld in
the Romulan Neutral Zone. Shortly thereafter, the ship is destroyed by
Iconian technology. The USS Enterprise-D assumes the Yamato's mission,
and discovers an Iconian Gateway on the planet. Instead of letting the
gateway fall into Romulan hands, Captain Picard decides to destroy it.
On the planet (in the Gateway control room), Captain Picard escapes the
destruction by passing through the open Gateway to the location
displayed -- a mountain range on the abandoned planet, Sabik III -- 170
light years away. (84 light years from Earth). In orbit of Iconia, while
the USS Enterprise-D has restarted the ship's computers, thereby
removing the devestating Iconian computer virus, the Romulan Warbird
IRW Haakona (commanded by Subcommander Taris) does not fare as well,
and is destroyed. The resulting explosion significantly damages the USS
Enterprise-D, requiring the ship to put into port at a nearby starbase
for repairs. (TNG:
"Contagion" -- alternate) |
| Dec. 6 | After
spending two days surviving in the wilderness on Sabik III, Captain
Jean-Luc Picard is discovered by scientists from a Federation research

is promoted to captain and given command of the vessel. Starfleet
Command considered offering the ship to Commander Riker of the USS
Enterprise-D, however, with Riker already in temporary command of the
Enterprise, it did not seem to be an inappropriate course of action. (TNG:
"The Icarus Factor" -- alternate) |
| 2365 | | On
Deep Space 9, the Cardassians promote Odo to Chief of Security due to
his neutral standing among the space station's inhabitants. (DS9:
"Necessary Evil", DS9: "Things Past") |
|
Jan. |
The
Romulans conceive a plan to create a clone of Starfleet Captain Jean
Luc Picard, in order to conduct covert espionage within the Federation.
Ultimately, however, the Romulan Senate abandons this idea, believing
it to be too provocative an act if ever discovered. The intended clone
is never created.
("Star Trek: Nemesis" -- alternate) |
| Jan. 5 | After
three weeks of repair time, the USS Enterprise-D leaves Starbase 123,
and heads back out into space under the temporary command of Commander
Riker. (alternate events -- assumed) |
| Jan. 9 | Captain
Picard arrives at Earth aboard his transport ship. He briefs Starfleet
Command of Iconia and his experiences on Sabik III, is granted leave
for a few days, and then later boards another transport ship to
rondevous with the USS Enterprise-D on the other side of Romulan space. (alternate events -- assumed) |
| Jan. 28 | Q
appears to Picard on his transport ship heading toward the Enterprise,
and claims that they have business to attend to. Q offers to
transport Picard straight to the Enterprise (shaving eleven days off
his original journey) if Picard will hear him out. Captain Picard
agrees, and is instantly transported to the location of the USS
Enterprise-D, as promised. Q then states that he has been cast out of
the Q Continuum, and wishes to join the Enterprise crew. Picard refuses
the request. To show that the Enterprise crew needs Q in order to deal
with the dangers of deep space exploration, Q transports the ship and
crew to System J-25 -- 7,000 light years away from their previous
position. There the Enterprise (and Starfleet) makes first contact with
the Borg. Eighteen Enterprise crew members are captured and the ship is
damaged in the encounter. (TNG: "Q Who?" -- alternate)
Captain
Picard re-assumes command of the USS Enterprise-D. Commander Riker returns to his previous role
as First Officer. (assumed) |

Their ships, bases, and planets remain.
(TNG:
"The Survivors") |
| Oct. 5 | The
Crysalians win administrative rights to the Barzan Wormhole, only to
discover that the other end is unstable and bounces around between the
Delta and Gamma Quadrants. Therefore, the wormhole is deemed to be
worthless. Two Ferengi, Arridor and Kol, become trapped in the distant
Delta Quadrant.
(TNG:
"The Price") |

Jan. 19 |
Lieutenant
Commander Data activates a Soong-type android that he created -- based
upon his own programming -- and gives her the name Lal. Ultimately,

assembles a defensive fleet that will
engage the Borg cube at Wolf 359. (TNG: "The Best of Both Worlds") |
| June 5 | At
the Battle of Wolf 359, a total of 39 Federation
starships are destroyed by the Borg, and 11,000 lives are lost.
Lieutenant Commander Benjamin Sisko is serving as first officer aboard
the Miranda-class USS Saratoga, one of the ships destroyed. He and his
son, Jake, survive, however, Sisko's wife Jennifer does not. The USS
Endeavor is the only ship to survive the battle. After the battle, the crew
of the USS Enterprise-D discovers a way to exploit the weakness of the Borg
Collective, destroying the cube, and saving Earth from assimilation. (TNG: "The Best of Both Worlds", TNG: "The Drumhead", DS9: "Emissary") |
| June 10 | The
USS Enterprise-D is in Earth drydock after the events of Wolf
359 and Captain Picard's assimilation into the Borg Collective. The

| March 12 | On
the USS Enterprise-D, Lieutenant Reginald Barclay gains self confidence
and has his intellect enhanced to hypercognative levels after being
scanned by a strange probe near the Argus Array. Barclay interfaces with the Enterprise computer in order to save the
Argus Array and Enterprise crew from destruction. He also initiates a
subspace distortion that transfers the Enterprise-D to the center of
the Milky Way Galaxy (30,000 light years away from the Argus Array).
This is all found to be the work of the Cytherians, who engineered the
entire situation in order to bring the Enterprise to their part of the
galaxy -- for exploratory reasons. Upon arrival at the near-center of the galaxy, Lieutenant Barclay is
returned to normal by the Cytherians (although, he retains a few intellectual advantages). (TNG:
"The Nth Degree")

leader of the High Council. Gowron is opposed by the Sisters of Duras
-- Lursa and B'Tor -- who are in turn supported and supplied by the
Romulans. Although Gowron's forces are
outnumberd and on the verge of defeat, a Starfleet armada led by the
USS Enterprise-D blockades Romulan support of Duras. The Romulans
withdraw, leaving Duras without support and Gowron victorious. Gowron
secludes himself and begins to rewrite Klingon history, excising any
mention of Starfleet's assistance. (TNG:

| Aug. 7 | Ensign Ro Lauren is assigned to the USS Enterprise-D. (TNG: "Ensign Ro") |
| Aug. 24 | The
Crystalline Entity attacks Melona IV, the future site of a new
Federation colony. Thankfully, due to quick thinking and the leadership
of Commander William T. Riker, no lives were lost in the attack.
This includes civilian engineer Carmen Davila. All individuals at the
colony site survive in nearby underground caverns. The colony efforts
on Melona IV are abandoned now that the planet is dead and barren. The

cloaks again, and disappears. Aboard those three Vulcan ships were
2,000 Romulan troops traveling to Vulcan in order to conquer the
planet. They were destroyed by the Romulans to hide the evidence. It was an ill-concieved invasion plan, that, upon discovery,
causes deeper tensions between the Federation and the Romulan Empire. (TNG: "Unification") |
| Nov. 25 | Berlinghoff
Rasmussen is apprehended by the crew of the USS Enterprise-D after

during the twenty minutes that he was uncontious on the Bridge. (TNG:
"The Inner Light") |
| July 23 | The
android head of Lieutenant Commander Data is discovered in a cavern
beneath the city of San Francisco on Earth. The head and other
historical artifacts appear to have sat there untouched for five
hundred years. An investigation by the crew of the USS Enterprise-D
sends them to the planet Devidia II, and later results in Data being
accidently transported to Earth's past: Sunday, August 13, 1893 to be
exact. (TNG:
"Time's Arrow") |
| July 25 | On
Devidia II, USS Enterprise-D crewmembers Geordia La Forge, Deanna Troi,
Will Riker, Doctor Crusher and Captain Picard use a device which
reveals the Devidians, and a temporal portal. The five Starfleet
officers pass through the portal and arrive in 1893 San Francisco on Earth. A few hours later La Forge, Troi, Riker, Doctor Crusher, and Data's headless

returning from a botanic expedition on the planet Marlonia, USS
Enterprise-D crew members, Dr. Beverly Crusher, Ensign Ro Laren,
Guinan, and
Captain Picard fall victim to an energy anomaly while being
emergency-transported from their shuttle to the Enterprise. All four
individuals rematerialize on the transporter pad(s) as 12-year-old
children. Despite their altered appearances, they retain the memories,
knowledge, and talents of their adult selves. All four of them are
relieved of duty until a remedy for their condition can be found.

"Chain of Command" -- alternate) |
| Dec. 31 | Captain
Jellico has members of his crew lay a minefield in the nearby

the MS-1 colony. Once again the Borg are attacking, only this time, the
Enterprise is able to give chase to the fleeing Borg ship, and is
pulled into the artificially-created Borg "transwarp conduit". Upon
exiting the conduit, a number of Borg beam onto the Enterprise Bridge
only to be killed. One drone survives, however, and refers to himself by the
name, Crosis. Shortly thereafter, Crosis escapes custody, and leaves
the Enterprise with a willing companion: Lieutenant Commander Data. The
shuttle disappears into another transwarp conduit. The Enterprise
follows, and emerges 65 light years from its previous location. The Enterprise tracks the shuttle to a class-M planet. (TNG: "Descent") |
| Sept. 6 | While
searching for Lieutenant Commander Data on the class-M planet, Captain
Picard and his search party discover a large structure. Inside this
structure, Data is discovered to be working with his
android brother, Lore -- as leaders of a large group of rogue Borg.
Together, they plan to destroy the Federation. (TNG: "Descent") |
| Sept. 5 | With the help of Hugh, however. Lore
is captured and dismantled. Hugh remains as leader of the
individualized Borg drones. (TNG: "TNG: "Descent, Part II")

Minister Jaro is planning a coup of the Bajoran government. (DS9:
"The Circle" -- date assumed)
It
is discovered that the Kressari are supplying weapons to the Bajoran
extremist group, "The Circle". Even more distressing is the fact that
the Cardassians are the source of those weapons -- the Kressari are
merely the middlemen. "The Circle", however, is unaware of where the Kressari are obtaining their supply of weapons. (DS9:
"The Circle" -- date assumed)
With
the political tensions heating up on Bajor, and the likelihood of "The
Circle" overthrowing the Bajoran Provisional Government, Starfleet
Command orders all Federation personnel to evacuate Deep Space 9. The
Prime Directive applies; Starfleet has no intention of becoming
involved in a Bajoran civil war. Commander Sisko and some of his staff remain hidden on the station. (DS9:

| Feb. 9 | A
Skrreea ship from the Gamma Quadrant travels through the Bajoran
Wormhole and arrives at Deep Space 9. The ship is carrying Haneek, her
two husbands and her son, Tumak. They are the first of about three million
Skrreean refugees seeking the wormhole, which their legends say is the
gateway to their new homeworld, Kentanna. (DS9:
"Sanctuary" -- date assumed) |
| Feb. 10 | Several hundred Skrreeans from the Gamma Quadrant arrive at Deep Space 9. (DS9:
"Sanctuary" -- date assumed) |
| Feb. 12 | With
hundreds of Skrreean ships arriving through the Bajoran wormhole and
waiting near Deep Space 9, Commander Sisko and Jadzia Dax select the
uninhabited class-M planet of Draylon II as the new Alpha Quadrant
homeworld for the three million Skrrean refugees. The binary Draylon
system is 37 light years from Bajor -- located in Federation space
between Bajor and Earth. The Skrrea, however, declare that they believe
Bajor is their legendary home world, and they wish to settle there on
the largely uninhabited northwest peninsula instead. (DS9:
"Sanctuary" -- date assumed) |
| Feb. 13 | The
Bajorans officially deny the Skrrean requests to settle on Bajor.
Haneek's son, Tumak, is accidently killed (along with two of his
friends) after taking a malfunctioning Skrrean ship, and attempting to

USS Enterprise-D discovers the Oberth-class Pegasus in the Devolin
system (in the Romulan Neutral
Zone). The ship was deemed lost twelve years earlier (2358) while
testing a secretly developed proto-type phasing cloak device. In
reality, the cloaked Pegasus drifted inside of a large asteriod in the
Devolin System, and dephased partially within the rock. It remained
there until the USS Enterprise-D found it on this date. (TNG:
"The Pegasus") |
| March 11 | The experimental phasing cloak on the USS Pegasus is retrieved by Admiral Erik
Pressman, and installed aboard the USS Enterprise-D to allow it to
escape from within an astroid. Illegal involvement in the development
and testing of the device is revealed both to the Romulans and to the Federation in accordance with the Treaty of Algeron. (TNG:

| May 28 | The
USS Enterprise-D is in space performing field tests on a new tactical
system and weapons upgrades. Commander Riker is injured in an accident
with a Cyprion catcus, and Lieutenant Barclay is suffering from a mild

| June | The
Federation-Cardassian Treaty is signed. It officially ends the
hostilities between the United Federation of Planets and the Cardassian

the rogue organization. Once this is discovered, Hudson abandons his ties to
Starfleet. (DS9:
"The Maquis" -- date assumed) |
| July 20 | New

week". (DS9: "Tribunal") |
| Sept. 22 | The
USS Prokofiev and the USS Valdemar arrive at the Federation-Cardassian
border near the Demilitarized Zone. Starfleet Command hopes that their
presence (along with the earlier assignment of the USS Enterprise-D)
will flex a little Federation muscle, and remind the Cardassians not to
execute Miles O'Brien and thereby threaten the treaty that was signed three months ago. (DS9: "Tribunal") |
| Sept. 23 | The
trial of Miles O'Brien takes place on Cardassian Prime. His public
defender is Odo, who, being qualified by Dukat four years earlier,
volunteers for the task. The trial slips further and further into
hopelessness for O'Brien until Captain Sisko arrives, escorting a
Cardassian spy. In a sudden shift, the Cardassian "judge" immediately
declares O'Brien innocent and the case is closed. O'Brien is free to
go. It is later revealed that O'Brien's arrest and trial was likely
part of an elaborate plot to give the Cardassian Central Command an
excuse to destroy the Maquis-led Federation colonies in the
Demilitarized Zone. Captain Sisko's appearance with the Cardassian spy
presented an embarrassing situation for the Cardassians. Rather than
admit to the plot, O'Brien was set free. The elaborate plot was foiled. (DS9: "Tribunal") |

as an example to anyone who interferes with the Dominion by traveling
through the wormhole.
- Numerous Alpha Quadrant ships have already been destroyed by the Jem'Hadar for violating Dominion territory.
- The New Bajor colony in the Gamma Quadrant has been destroyed.
The soldier than beams back to his ship and re-enters the wormhole. (DS9: "The Jem'Hadar")
On
the USS Enterprise-D, Worf and Deanna Troi go on an evening date. On

intent of those leaders. Odo secures their safety by reminding his people that
"no Founder has ever harmed another". The Founder Leader allows Captain
Sisko and the USS Defiant to leave unharmed. The Founder makes
it clear, though, that, their next meeting may not be so pleasant. The USS Defiant returns to the Alpha Quadrant. (DS9: "The Search, pt 2 -- alternate)

emergency saucer separation is successful, however the warp core
breaches, destroying the damaged stardrive section, and creating a shock
wave that causes the saucer to crash-land on the surface of Veridian
III. Only 18 crewmembers die in the crash.
Elsewhere,
on Veridian III, Captain Picard -- with the help of James T. Kirk, who
has been inside the Nexus for the last 78 years -- successfully stops
Soren from destroying the Veridian system. The
Nexus passes harmlessly by Veridian III. Dr. Soren and 60-year-old James T. Kirk die on Veridian III. Kirk is buried on a nearby
mountaintop. In 2374, however, his body is relocated to Earth, and reburied in
his hometown of Riverside, Iowa. ("Star Trek: Generations", Facebook: Starfleet Academy) |

the crashed saucer into a functioning (albeit, makeshift) Federation
science station. A number of Starfleet personnel, scientists and
Starfleet Marines are later assigned to this "new" Federation
ground-based facility, aptly renamed, "Veridian Station". This "new" science
facility will remain operational for the foreseeable future.
Eventually, though, when the pre-industrial inhabitants of nearby
Veridan IV begin reaching for the stars, Veridian Station will be
have to be abandoned and destroyed -- in accordance with the Prime Directive. This
action is not anticipated, though, for another 100-200 years. (Facebook: Starfleet Academy) |

Founder's homeworld. Both the Cardassian and Romulan governments deny
any knowledge of this mission, and refuse to support the operation.
Starfleet believes the attack might succeed, and chooses not to
interfere. The Tal Shiar-Obsidion Order fleet enters the
wormhole unopposed. It is unknown at this time that the Garak, Odo and the
runabout USS Mekong are being held captive aboard one of the Romulan warbirds. (DS9: "The Die

| Nov. 16 | Convinced
that the Cardassian government
has been infiltrated by the Founders, General Martok leads a
Klingon invasion of Cardassia. The Klingon fleet cloaks and leaves Deep
Space 9. Captain Sisko "subtly" warns Garak, who in turn alerts Dukat
and the Cardassians. However, the Cardassians are busy fighting the
civilian insurgence. Cardassia is unprepared for the impending Klingon
attack. (DS9:
"The Way of the Warrior") |
| Nov. 17 | The
Federation objects to this Klingon invasion of Cardassia. Chancellor
Gowron responds by withdrawing from the Khitomer Accords, thereby
ending
the
Federation-Klingon alliance. Gowron also strips Worf of his honor, his
House and all of it's titles after the Starfleet officer refuses to join him
in the Klingon invasion. (DS9:

| Nov. 18 | While
chasing the Cardassian civilian Detapa Council, now led by Dukat, escape Cardassian Prime, three Klingon vessels destroy
the Cardassian escape cruiser Prakesh. However, the cloaked USS Defiant
is able to rescue the Detapa Council members before the cruiser is
destroyed. Romulan
Subcommander T'Rul objects to the use of the Defiant's cloaking device
in the Alpha Quadrant, but is over-ruled by Captain Sisko.
Understanding the nature of this mission, she chooses to overlook the
infraction -- this time. The
USS Defiant heads back to Deep Space 9 at maximum warp. Aboard the
ship, Doctor Bashir is able to determine that none of the rescued
Cardassians are Changeling imposters. (DS9:
"The Way of the Warrior") |
| Nov. 19 | The
USS Defiant arrives at Deep Space 9 with the rescued Cardassians. They
are followed by a fleet of about 50 Klingon ships, commanded by Gowron
and Martok aboard the
the IKS Negh'Var. Gowron demands the surrender of all rescued
Cardassians, or else the Klingon ships will open fire on Deep Space 9.
Captain Sisko refuses, choosing instead to stand his ground. Gowron
orders his Klingon fleet to attack Deep Space 9. (DS9:
"The Way of the Warrior")
The
Klingons attack Deep Space 9, but the recently improved station weapons
hold them off. Gowron orders the IKS Negh'Var to take out the station's
shield generator. The station's defensive shields fail, and Klingon
boarding parties beam into Ops, the Promenade and the location of the
hidden Cardassians. Station security is prepared and waiting.
Hand-to-hand combat results, and the Klingons are driven back. A
Starfleet task force of six ships (commanded by Admiral Hastur on the
Galaxy-class USS Venture) arrives at Deep Space 9. Gowron chooses
not to continue this fight, but assures Starfleet that they have made
an enemy this day. And the Klingon Empire does not forget its enemies. (DS9:
"The Way of the Warrior") |
| Nov. 20 | Having
chosen to remain in Starfleet, Lieutenant Commander Worf is assigned to

are viewed to be the prime suspects.
In
response to the planetary power outage -- and the fact that it could
take days to get the power relay systems back online, Federation
President Jaresh-Inyo declares a planetary state of emergency. Starfleet ships in orbit take on the task of
using their transporters and communication systems to mobilize Starfleet
officers. An armed Starfleet presence is soon visible in every major
city on the planet. (DS9:

| March 4 | Quark
recieves a Ferengi shuttle from his cousin Gaila. It is given to him as
the fulfilment of a 10-year-old promise. Quark, Rom and Nog take the
little ship for a "shakedown cruise" near Deep Space 9, and are nearly
killed when the ship's engines malfunction. The ship crashes onto an
inhabited planet and is deemed a total loss. The three Ferengi book

d'etat of Starfleet. Admiral Layton seeks to involve Sisko in the
coup, but Sisko refuses. At evening, a Changeling-in-disguise meets up

| Dec. 2 | Odo,
who has fallen ill recently, is taken aboard the USS Defiant, through
the Bajoran Wormhole, into the Gamma Quadrant in search of his people.
Not long after, the Founder Leader arrives at the Defiant (with plenty
of Jem'Hadar ships), beams aboard, and cures Odo. She also points out
that Odo must be punished for his previous actions in killing another
Changeling. He must return to the Great Link to face that punishment.
Odo, however refuses. While he longs to return home, now is not the
time, especially not with the Dominion threatening the solids -- his
friends. Disappointed, the Founder Leader pronounces judgement then and
there.... Odo is an outcast. He no longer has a home among his people.
And he will suffer the same fate as the solids. The Founder Leader then
leaves the Defiant, allowing the Starfleet ship to return through the
wormhole to the Alpha Quadrant. (DS9:

two years before the symptoms of this Section 31 virus are activated among the
Changeling populace. (DS9:

heavy disruptor fire from nearby Klingons completely disintigrates it.
The Martok founder is dead. Realizing that the Klingon Empire was being
manipulated by the Dominion, Gowron agrees to a cease-fire with the Federation, in exchange for the disputed Federation-owned Archanis Sector. (DS9: "Apocalypse Rising" -- alternate)

USS Enterprise-E is pulled in as well. However, moments later, the
Enterprise re-emerges alone, damaged and partially assimilated. Reports
indicate that the crew of the USS Enterprise-E traveled through time
and participated in the Vulcan first contact events of 2063. They also
destroyed the time-traveling Borg sphere above Earth in the same year.
Debris from that sphere was found
